Tech Entrepreneur sets up online Ukraine School to help refugees arriving in the UK

 Ukrainian children arriving in the UK will benefit from the construction of a Ukrainian School, a free online educational platform to help Ukrainian students overcome language barriers and continue learning while settling in UK schools.

The Ukrainian school was created by technology entrepreneur Brendan Morrissey and his team at eSchools, which provides online teaching and communication solutions for teachers and students in all 1,100 UK schools.

Free Ukrainian school allows teachers to organize homework, run classroom projects, messages, blogs and calendars and provide feedback in English, which is translated into Ukrainian for children. When the work is completed, it is translated back into English.

The Ukrainian school is looking to close the gap between young children with little or no English and their new teachers and classmates, which is an important service for the more than 1000 Ukrainian refugees currently in the UK.

After establishing educational programs, Brendan Morrissey decided to redo one of his previous jobs to build a Ukrainian School after the war broke out in Ukraine. With 50 languages ​​already in place, it is hoped that once the technology is established in the UK, it will be distributed to other countries where Ukrainian refugees settle. Hundreds of schools in Ireland have already registered for the stadium.

The next step for the Ukrainian School is to find the hardware to reach the stadium outside the classroom. With many refugees expected to be able to quickly access computers or laptops, the organization is now looking for partners in companies that can provide hardware that allows children to access the website both at home and at school.

Teachers and schools can access the Ukrainian School by sending an email [protected email] where the team will send passwords to add students. There is also a free parenting app linked to the eSchools app that allows them to view homework and connect with the school.

“The next step is for other tech companies to get involved, preferred by Google, Microsoft, or Samsung. We would really like to see these companies support our efforts by providing hardware to local schools with our pre-loaded stadium. This will allow children to continue learning and working in their new homes in the UK. ”
